Just Because |
I just sent my wife some flowers and roses. WHY? You ask. Is it her birthday? No. Is it your anniversary? No. Ok..You're in trouble? Nope, that's not it either. Well it's not valentine's day...is it? Nope it's not valentine's or any other holiday for that matter.
You're asking all the wrong questions. You're asking "for what occasion" are you sending your wife flowers? I don't need an occasion. Do you? Frankly I think while the holidays (valentine, etc) have they're place, they're way over-rated and unsurprising. Why? Because everybody and their mom expects gifts on these days. Oh sure there is that one guy who's going to surprise his wife with a new BMW, but for us common folk it's just seems to be a routine. Now don't get me wrong...I'm not knocking the holidays, I'm just saying that shouldn't be the only reason to do something special for your significant other. Why should you wait for some day on the calender to send a rose or write a letter or buy something special? You shouldn't.
Which is why I sent the roses and balloons....Just Because. Just because I love her and wanted her to know it. And I guarantee you that that 'just because' gift will get a bigger reaction and will go further than say the same roses sent on valentine's day or her birthday or mother's day. Those were expected (and for good reason...don't you dare miss those days) but today is just an ordinary day and she's not expecting it.
Don't believe me...try it sometimes. Keep it random don't get into a pattern, because then even that will be expected.

Filling the space |
Not really sure what to write about, but I have to write SOMETHING. I can't stand an idle blog. At the moment I'm watching two models put a hersey bar Tshirt on a guy in a bear suit on David Letterman. Now THAT'S entertainment! I love Letterman. He should've gotten Johnny's spot...not that pitful excuse for a host Leno. Johnny even prefered Letterman, I mean he even wrote monologues for Letterman. But that's what happens when people who know nothing about entertainment run the entertainment business. You all know how I feel about desk jockies so I'll spare you the rant.
I just finished visiting my cousin's blog (on the ball). Man she knows how to hit a nerve with surgical percision. You know what? The truth hurts. Calling a Duck a Duck is a lost skill that people need to relearn. She's definately got it. She's gotten pretty smart these last couple of years. You go girl. (there that was my oprah moment)
I just finished 3 diferent projects tonight and I have one more to finish tomorrow. I've been doing video and graphic work on the side for extra income. I thought about putting a web site, but later decided that I shouldn't. Not because I couldn't but b ecause if I did I wouldn't be able to handle all the work. I get more work than I can handle by word of mouth. My work has been to New Orleans, Texas, Colorado, Indiana and all over arkansas. Just a few months back I said "That's It! I'm taking a break." I decided to just rest and spend time with my family. Then Jenn said we could use some extra money so I decided to pick up a couple of jobs...may somebody must have put out an all points bulleton because I picked up 4 jobs in two weeks and I'm still getting a few more. I'd love to just quit my job at the TV station and just work for myself, but that scares me to death. What if the work slows down or better yet - what about Health care insurance...Owch! Once the kids get in school and Jenn (hopefully either gets a raise or promoted) says Ok, then PG Productions will be open for business.
We took the kids to get their pictures taken last weekend. I had Xander in a Dallas cowboys outfit (complete with football) and Haven was wearing a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader outfit with pom poms. Courtesy of my Brother-From-Another-Mother and his wife. Better known as C and Ms. C. (still working on the alphabet thing) They looked awesome. I'll have the pictures posted when they come in. Well I've got to get some sleep now. I can't stay up as late as I used to. Getting old. I'll be 33 on Saturday. (aug 13) But that's another blog all together.

Name That Tune! |
Not much to blog about at the moment, nor is there time if there was. But I just can't stand not putting something up every couple of days or so. Just bugs me. Feels like I'm letting my loyal follower down. Eventually I'll have two people who'll read this stuff regularly. Anyway, since I'm always doing the hard work by filling all this space with carefully arranged alphabetic sequences, I figured I could give you an assignment. If you read this please respond-but only with the first line of your favorite song. Yep. That's it. All you have to do is give me the first line to your favorite song. Then I'll see if I can quess it. You're quesses to others post are also welcomed. So there's your assignment. Hop to it!
